Her Two Front Teeth!

They aren't tall enough for a pic yet, but as of yesterday, we have two new teeth! Both of the bottom front teeth have broken through the gums. I don't think teething made Adelyn grumpy, but she hasn't been sleeping as well over the past few weeks. We were doing really well at night, but lately she's been waking up more often. I'm hoping we can blame it on the teeth and things will get back to normal soon. She actually goes back to sleep fairly quickly for me, but she isn't as good for Daddy. Here's 2 cute pictures of my princess.

Helping Mommy

Daddy got some cute shots of his girls working today. I haven't worked up to scrapbooking yet, but I have made some time to get photos into albums lately. Adelyn was helping me.
Dad, I'm busy right now...

Look at me, mom, aren't I doing a good job?
This is pretty fun!

Laughing with Daddy and Playing the Drums!

Adelyn's had a great week. She's now a proud depositor at Central Bank. We took her to open a savings account. When the lady opening her account looked at her and told her that she was a pretty girl she cried for a second! I guess she thought the lady was going to try to hold her.
She's moving around more on her own, and she and Grandma Pam had one of their best days together.

I can usually get Addy Rose to flash her momma a smile, but Daddy is probably the best at getting her to share her sweet little laugh with us.

Here's a sweet pic of Little Miss sitting up all on her own! She looks so grown up!

Child Dedication Day

June 10 was child dedication day at church. Unfortunately, we didn't get any great pictures, but here are a few from that day.

Here's a picture of Baby Girl talking to her daddy. Adelyn is a great sitter now! I'll post some pics later of her sitting in the floor playing her drums! Today she also started pushing up onto her hands and knees! Crawling might not be too far behind!

Happy Father's Day!

I feel blessed for many reasons, and Seth and Adelyn are at the top of my list. Seth is a wonderful husband and a great father. Addy loves her Papa Bear!

I've recently read the definition of a "high needs" baby per Dr. Sears. I have to say that the definition fits my little princess pretty well. In addition to wanting a lot of attention and having some pretty specific ideas about how she wants things, Adelyn is also such a fun and happy baby. From what I've read, high needs babies can be really demanding and hard to soothe when unhappy, but they are also often the happiest babies when they are having a good time. No matter what, I think she's just perfect. Here are a few pics...

Our doctor gave us the go ahead for solids at our 4 month appt. We dabbled a little bit with cereal, but didn't really make it a priority since Addy didn't really seem to care. Well tonight I gave her some sweet potatoes, and she gobbled them up! This is her full and satisfied face! The full screen version of this pic really shows off her pretty blue eyes.

Sugarino and Mommy! Mommy sent most of her hair to the people that make wigs for kids that have lost their hair to chemotherapy.

Check this out! This is little miss standing up in front of the couch. You can't see her other hand, but she's hanging on to the front of the cushion for support. She's such a strong little girl.

TGIF!

This has been a busy week! I have several more pics to post, but Addy Rose is ready to eat. Happy Friday to everyone and have a good weekend!

Miracle Gro!

I definitely consider Adelyn a miracle! God has blessed us so abundantly. I've used Miracle Gro on my flower beds before, and the stuff works! Maybe breast milk is nature's version of Miracle Gro. Our baby girl is growing so fast! Look at Little Miss hold her own bottle. She's been putting her hands on her bottle for a while now. We assumed they were just placed there. Seth took his hand off the bottle and we found that she can hold it up all by herself. Maybe this is typical of babies at this age, but it surprised us. Then again, we are surprised and amazed by our angel on a daily basis.

Look at these poses! I didn't help her get into these. It is hard work being a baby, so I guess she just felt like kicking back and relaxing! I'm glad the camera was nearby. :)

Busy, Busy Week!

I'm helping with Vacation Bible School at church this week, and it is wearing me out!!! We had 32 pre-schoolers last night! I'm in charge of crafts, and crafting with 4 and 5 year olds is funny. Some kids are not interested at all while other kids are so meticulous that they can't finish their craft in the allotted time. I'm sure that I will collapse on Friday evening, but I know it is worth it.

Here's our pretty pretty princess with her mommy!

Too Cute!

Adelyn really is a ton of fun these days and she cracks me up! These pictures were taken moments within each other. This pout below never went further than a pout, but it sure does look like a crying spell is coming!

Everything is good here. Addy is becoming so mobile - she's no longer allowed to take naps on the bed. I've always barricaded her with pillows, but she's too strong and fast for that these days. Work is going well - after 5 days out in the real world over the last 2 weeks, I get to work from home for the next 2 weeks. I don't expect the good times to last though.
She slept in her crib in her room last night and did really well. I think it bothered Seth and I more than it bothered her. I missed having her nearby.
Baby Girl still has the prettiest blue eyes, but I read the other day that you shouldn't get attached to blue eyes since they can change as late as 9 months.

Sorry for taking so long to post! This week should be better!
