Adelyn sounded out all these words (she knew her name already) and then she read the first book in our series of beginning readers. She's been working on letter sounds for a while, but has shown zero interest in reading. She finally decided to give it a try today and did beautifully! This girl is the most stubborn (yet very capable) child I've ever seen. If she wants to do something, she will just do it. Like with potty training, it was a total breeze when she was ready (shortly after she was 2 years old), and I give her all the credit.
In other news, she informed me yesterday that she had a husband and that he was ten by old (she will not say years old even though I correct her all the time) just like she's ten by old and that his name is Stacker Rubberband.
I really should also post pictures of Vacation Bible School and Kyli's visit with us last week. Soon! :)
