6 1/2 hours of Sleep!!

Of course I have some cute pics of Adelyn to post, but listen to this - Adelyn slept for six and a half hours straight one night this week! She's been regularly logging 4 or 5 hour stretches at night, but this is a new record! I was getting a little worried after talking to people that have said their kids didn't sleep well until they were 2 or 3 years old!

Also, she had done it a few times in the last several weeks, but Adelyn has been laughing more lately! Tuesday night Seth was playing with her and making a funny face - she laughed every time. It was adorable.

Her other trick is the lower lip pout - she did it for the first time when Uncle Justin held her (he has facial hair and I guess it scared her). She also did it at the doctor's office the other day. Sometimes she does it when new people hold her. It is so cute! I'll have to try to get a picture.

Miss Addy is growing way too fast. She's 3.5 months old. Both of these outfits below are 6-9 month outfits! I thought she'd wear them a little early, but I didn't expect them to fit this well right now.

Adelyn is good at letting me know when she's not happy - she doesn't really like hats.

Smiling Sue!

Adelyn has already had many nicknames since entering the world, and for some reason a lot of them end with Sue. When she was very young, she grunted all the time, so we called her Grunty Sue. She has always been a very squirmy baby, so we called her Squirmy Sue. Now, she smiles so often that we can call her Smiling Sue (most of the time). She's been a little fussier than normal for a few days so I took her to the doctor today. The doctor took a blood count and it looks like maybe there is a viral thing going on that is making her feel less than great, but she doesn't think it is anything to worry about. She weighed in a 13 lbs 8 oz today!! She's gained 2 lbs 3 oz in the last 6 weeks. After talking to Grandma Rosie today, I realized I have been neglecting the blog, so here are some overdue pics!

Here is a picture of Adelyn sitting the crib she's never slept in. We're planning on making the transition to the crib very soon. She's outgrowing the bassinette.
This is a happy smile!

Adelyn has been cleared for bumbo and exersaucer use (by her momma), she has very good head and neck control now.

Getting some tummy time and grinning!
Looking pretty in a dress mommy recently bought...
This one is for Great Granny! I'll look for some more of me, but there aren't very many since I'm normally the one taking the picture!
Here's one of Addy and Daddy after church on Sunday.

Happy Easter and some new toys!

It has been a long time since I've posted. I always have tons of pictures, but I guess I just need to get motivated to plug the camera in and upload them.

We have had a wonderful Easter weekend, even if the weather was dreadful! Adelyn has been so good this weekend (with the exception of a few cries during church). We've all had a chance to relax and recharge. We needed it. This week was tiring for all of us. Seth is working from home some next week, which is nice since he had such a long commute last week.

Here are some pictures of Adelyn in her Easter dress. I bought tights to go with the outfit, but they were HUGE!! We went with ruffled socks and the prettiest little shoes that were a gift from Grandma before little Adelyn was born.

Being this pretty makes a little one very tired...

Very, very tired...

I know bumbo seats are really for babies that have reached 4 months, but Adelyn does a really good job of holding her head up, so we've been trying ours out a little bit at a time. She likes it for a little while, but then wants to be held or be on the go! She really digs sitting up on her own like a big girl though. She also really likes to stand on her feet while someone helps her balance the rest of her body.
I also know that exersaucers are for babies 4 months and older, but after spending so much time putting it together, I wanted to see if she liked it. At this point she was more interested in chewing on the edge of the seat, but I know she will get hours of enjoyment out of it later.
I just thought it would be cute to take a pic of tiny little Addy in the big chair! This chair will accomodate 2 adults and 2 pit bulls - I've seen it many times. Now that the doggies are at Uncle Justin's, we don't have to cover the chair with a slipcover anymore!
That's all for now. I hope everyone is doing well and Happy Easter!
