Please Pray!

My brother, Justin, came over tonight, and he says he wants to quit smoking. I told him that I would pray for him. I thought it would also be a good idea to ask the people who read this blog to pray for him. While you're at it, Josh could use a prayer too. I'm afraid he's making decision that could really haunt him in the future. Thanks in advance and God Bless!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers I know, but especially to my own. My brothers, Josh and Justin, create more stress than any one person should have to endure. Throw into the mix that I am very particular about everything I'm involved with, and you've just got to admire my mom. I love her very much, and I hope she knows how much I appreciate her. Happy Mother's Day, Mom, from me, Seth and Adelyn. We love you bunches!

In addition to blessing me with a wonderful mom, God blessed me with the best husband in the world and again with the sweetest little girl... my cup runneth over. Sappy as it may sound, Seth really does complete me, and he is such a great daddy. I'm getting closer to Addy Rose everyday, and there's no doubt that I would lay down my life for this sweet baby girl. I am so blessed!

To all of you mothers - I've found out over the last four months how being a mom alters your life. In addition to all of the wonderful love and happiness, it is also a new responsibility that is never ceasing. So, to all of you, good job on performing the most rewarding and demanding job in the world! Happy Mother's Day!

4 Month Well Baby Visit!

Poor Baby Girl got 3 shots today, and she didn't like it one bit!!! She screamed like I've never heard her scream before. I felt so awful for her.

On to the more exciting news - Adelyn is 25.5 inches long (85th percentile) and 14 lbs 6 oz (60th percentile)! She's getting to be so big, which means MORE BABY TO LOVE!!! The doc said that Addy Rose looks great. She also said we can go ahead and try some rice cereal since we don't have a family history of food allergies. I have a feeling that Adelyn is ready to get her mouth around some food. I'll be sure to take some pics during the first feeding!

Our Sweet Baby Girl is 4 Months Old!

It is hard to believe that Baby Girl is already 4 months old. In one way, it seems like we've had her forever, but in another way it seems like just yesterday when we were in the hospital waiting to bring her home home. I saw a 1 month old baby today, and she seemed so tiny compared to Adelyn. She was 9 lbs, and I couldn't believe that Adelyn was only 6 lbs 13 oz at one point. Seth and I were recently looking at some of the pictures we took her during her first couple of months. She's changed and grown so much. All veteran parents that we talk to tell us, "They grow up too fast." It really is true.

I posted the above picture today because Adelyn looks like such a big girl in this picture. She loves to stand up with someone nearby to help her with the balance part. She'll be walking before I know it...

Happy Birthday Tonya and Great Granny!!

Tonya turned 29 (again) a few days ago and Great Granny (Grandma Rosie) turned 80 years old today!!! Great Granny can still run circles around most 50 year olds. We love them both bunches and hope that God blesses them abundantly this year! Here's a picture of Adelyn with Great Granny last week. Happy Birthday you guys!

I was shooting the video and kissing her, so the video is a little unsteady. It took a second to get her laughing again after getting the camera out. I hope you can hear her laugh. It is the sweetest sound.

Adelyn Rolled Over!!

I don't have any pics of the grand event, but little Addy Rose decided to roll over for the first time this morning! She's been thinking about rolling over for more than a week now. I have some cute videos and other pics that I want to post as soon as I make the time for it. If I don't get around to it this evening, I will in the next day or so.
