One day I will get good at this and format it well and include interesting posts and funny captions (like in Brayden's blog), but for right now I'll just be posting some pics as often as I can. To be honest, her eyes are open for such a short amount of time that it makes getting very many good pictures kind of tough.

Two Weeks Old!
We took Adelyn to the doctor today for her two week check-up. After being born at 7 lbs 8 oz, she dropped down to 6 lbs 13 oz last week. Today she was back up to 7 lbs 5 oz, which is great news! She loves to eat, so I have no fear that her weight will continue to rise at a healthy level.
The doctor again cautioned us about being careful through RSV season, but other than that she said that Adelyn looks very healthy! Her next appointment is when she is 2 months old, and she will have to get 3 shots! I'm sure she and mommy will both shed some tears.
I probably haven't been taking as many pictures as I should, but I did manage to take several more. Take a look and feel free to post in comments section if you have a favorite.
Here is Adelyn in one of the few newborn outfits we have. The 0-3 mos. stuff is still pretty big on her.
Adelyn loves to sleep! She looks so peaceful.
Take care and God Bless!

Adelyn Rose is here!
We are so blessed! At 12:49 p.m. on January 9, 2007, Adelyn Rose was born via c-section to two very proud parents. Adelyn is such a joy to us. She is such a sweet baby, and Seth is such a good daddy to her. More details to come, but I thought I should get some pics posted soon.
I'll get better at formatting this stuff later. Right now the goal is just to get some pics out there since I'm not sure when I'll be seeing many of you. As nervous new parents we are following all the pediatrician's recommendations including not getting out too much for the first 6 weeks because of the fragility of a newborn's immune system. I'd feel more comfortable if it wasn't cold and flu season!

Last thought - sorry the pics aren't more recent (these are all from the hospital stay). Our current computer and digital camera are not compatible, so I have to wait until our next outing to get the more recent pics off the camera.
